Abstract

This research is a school action research that emphasizes the implementation of supervision which is integrated in Lesson study activities This research is collaborative involving participants joining together to observe the learning process in understanding learning and changes in activity due to the actions given. Objectives To improve students' understanding and learning activities through the development of inquiry learning which is applied in lesson study. The data collection technique used is descriptive qualitative from observations of lesson study activities resulting from observations of questionnaires for teachers and students. The implementation of supervision that is integrated in lesson study activities is capable of developing inquiry-based learning which refers to improving learning outcomes and finding more improvements in the next learning process. Improving students' understanding and learning activities through the development of inquiry-based learning which is applied in lesson study fosters a sense of more fun in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership of the Principal of SMKN 2 Rembang in improving teacher performance during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Sources of data in this study include: school principals, teachers and education staff, and students. The procedure for collecting data is carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was used by adopting an interactive pattern from Miles et al (2014) which includes: data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is done by triangulation and member check techniques. The results of the study show that the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance during the pandemic at SMKN 2 Rembang went well. Efforts made by school principals to improve teacher performance during the pandemic are a reflection of 4 of the 7 leadership roles of school principals, including: Educator, Manager, Administrator, and Supervisor.

Abstract

This conceptual article aims to examine Ki Hadjar Dewantara's Leadership Trilogy at the education unit level, especially in elementary schools, which still experience many problems and obstacles, reflected in the various conflicts that occur between school principals and teachers, and school members. Principals at the elementary school unit level in carrying out their duties to lead the agenda for improving employee (teacher) discipline only refer to the level of attendance and achievement, without paying attention to the difficulties experienced by teachers in achieving the targets that have been given. Therefore, the concept of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's Leadership Trilogy is one of the fundamental answers to overcoming various existing problems and creating a conducive climate in elementary schools; This is because the concepts of "Tut Wuri Handayani" (behind giving guidance) and "Ing Madyo Mangun Karso" (in the middle giving encouragement) will not run optimally without "Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodho", namely the leader (pamong) who acts as an example to its members. Setting an example, ngemong, is not only seen from ability but also ethically and morally.

Abstract

This study aims to see and provide different views regarding organizational intelligence on educational leadership, namely the ability to direct organizations to move according to the development direction they want. Regarding how important the organizational intelligence of a leader is in contributing to the organization that their leads. This research uses the literature review method or literature study, with stages (1) objective; 2) inclusion criteria; 3) search strategy; (4) data collection; (5) quality of study; and (6) result synthesis data. This technique is carried out with the aim of disclosing various theories that are relevant to the problems being faced or researched as reference material in the discussion of research results. The results of this study showed that organizational intelligence is able to make a leader encourage his organization to move towards the target that has been set, namely people who have successfully built a clear self-image, because before followers are moved, they would want to recognize who their leader was, does the leader deserve to be a role model?.

Abstract

This conceptual article aims to examine the leadership of school principals in applying the concept of independent learning. The results of the study show that the principal's leadership has a central role in the implementation of independent learning in schools. The steps taken by the principal started from: implementing policies that support independent learning, encouraging teachers to implement fun learning, motivating students to have readiness and mood to learn, actively involving parents and the environment, and collaborating with the education office to holding training to improve teacher competence. Success in implementing independent learning by the principal is proven by the participation of students in education that is evenly distributed, the implementation of effective learning, and no students are left behind in the learning process.

Abstract

Supervisi merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki dan dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah. Kegiatan supervisi akademik bertujuan untuk membantu guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensinya, terutama kompetensi paedagogi dan kompetensi professional. Apabila antara kepala sekolah dan guru sama-sama memahami fungsi supervisi, maka masalah pendidikan lebih mudah terpecahkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas supervisi akademik kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui: (1) Program supervisi akademik, (2) Pelaksanaan Supervisi akademik, dan (3) Evaluasi pelaksanaan supervisi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SD 1 Barongan. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah: kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru SD 1 Barongan cukup efektif melalui penyusunan program supervisi, pelaksanaan supervisi, evaluasi pelaksanaan supervisi, dan tindak lanjut yang dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan kolaboratif dengan pendekatan rapat dan kunjungan kelas. Dari hasil penelitian diharapkan kepala sekolah menambah frekuensi supervisi akademik untuk lebih mengoptimalkan peningkatan kinerja guru.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the academic supervision of school supervisors to improve teacher professionalism, which focuses on: (1) the implementation of academic supervision by school supervisors, (2) obstacles to academic supervision carried out by school supervisors, and (3) the efforts given by school supervisors under academic supervision. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection procedures using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The validity of the data using source triangulation techniques, technical triangulation; and time triangulation. The results showed that academic supervision carried out by school supervisors had been carried out properly and by following per under with applicable regulations, from planning to reporting the results of academic supervision; Although in its implementation there are still various obstacles, the effect is not so significant on the effectiveness of the implementation of academic supervision.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran dan mengelola kegiatan proses pembelajaran serta meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan berbagai instrumen penelitian (alat monitoring), seperti: catatan harian, lembar observasi; pedoman wawancara; lembar angket/kuesioner, lembar masukan guru (refleksi tindakan); lembar penilaian unjuk kerja, dan instrumen perekam gambar/suara (video) Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dari rata-rata tingkat kemampuan guru sebelum dilakukan tindakan sebesar 65,05% yang tergolong kurang, dan meningkat setelah dilakukan tindakan menjadi 86,70% dengan kategori baik. Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik berbasis teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang dilaksanakan di Gugus Garuda Kecamatan Pakis Aji Jepara mampu meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance appraisal function of school principals in carrying out one of their roles as educational supervisors in schools. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis uses interactive data patterns from Miles & Huberman. Checking the credibility of the data is done by checking the credibility, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study showed that the performance appraisal analysis of school principals is very effective in improving the quality and professionalism of school principals in carrying out their roles. The principal as a supervisor plays an important role in improving teacher professionalism and the quality of education in schools. As a supervisor, the principal is responsible for planning educational programs in schools, progress and development of schools and increasing teacher professionalism through fostering the performance of teachers in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang Manajemen Ekstrakurikuler Duta Sekolah pada Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Palangka Raya di Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Sumber data yaitu: kepala sekolah, guru pembina ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, ketua ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, dan duta sekolah (putra dan putri). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan cara: 1) pengumpulan data, 2) reduksi data, 3) penyajian data, dan 4) penarikan kesimpulan. Pengabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) Perencanaan Ekstrakurikuler Duta Sekolah yaitu: penentuan pembina ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, perencanaan pemilihan duta sekolah, penyusunan rencana program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, penetapan bentuk kegiatan ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, dan penentuan dana untuk pelaksanaan program kerja ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah. 2) Pengorganisasian Ekstrakurikuler Duta Sekolah yaitu: kepala sekolah sebagai penasihat, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kesiswaan sebagai penanggung jawab ekstrakurikuler, guru pembina ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, ketua ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah, duta sekolah dan atribut duta sekolah lainnya sudah baik dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. 3) Pelaksanaan Ekstrakurikuler Duta Sekolah yaitu: terdiri dari program kegiatan wajib dan tambahan yang secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan berjalan dengan baik. 4) Pengawasan Ekstrakurikuler Duta Sekolah yaitu: dilakukan secara langsung oleh guru pembina ekstrakurikuler duta sekolah bekerja sama dengan stakeholder sekolah agar duta sekolah dapat di jaga perannya sesuai dengan aturan sehingga tidak terjadi penyimpangan.
